The Detroit Tigers are one of the best baseball teams in the United States. They might not have the best year every year but that has not stopped them from trying their best. Fans of the Detroit Tigers have recently been hit by a death of their former pitcher Jose Lima. I was not as avid of a Tigers fan when he was a player but many longtime fans cannot believe he has died.

Another great reason to be a fan of the Detroit Tigers is the beautiful new ball park. Comerica Park is one of the most modern and clean ball parks in MLB. Cameras were installed so that video could be shot effortlessly and fans could get as close to the field as possible. Seats at the games are very competitive in price. Most of the time I watch baseball on directtv channels. I can feel it, the Tigers will be making it to post season play this year!

The last episode in season one, entitled ‘The Greater Good’, leaves viewers with some pretty strong questions about the island. As always the writers of Lost leave viewers begging for more answers. By this time most viewers start to realize that while a greater picture is being laid out, the show continues on more of a haphazard style. I usually watch this show on satellite tv because I have the option of recording it on my DVR.

In this episode the survivors start to question the morality of Locke. Many of them believe that he killed Boone and lied about it. Boone, no longer there to defend him, was really the closest character to Locke. Locke seems to continue his obsession with the hatch in the ground but refuses to tell anyone about it. After Shannon asks Sayid to avenge her brother, Sayid starts to interrogate Locke about what happened in the woods. Locke tells him about the plane and Sayid insists Locke take him there. Once there further questions from Sayid convinces Locke to reveal that he was the one to attack Sayid on the mountain and destroy his tracking equipment.

Sayid tries to convince Shannon that Locke is innocent but Shannon decides to take matters into her own hands. She steals the lock box key from Jack and confronts Locke in the jungle with a gun. Sayid tackles Shannon and the bullet barely misses Locke. I am sure that this will start to destroy Shannon and Sayid’s relationship.

On another part of the island Micheal and Jin are preparing the raft. They claim that the second raft (the first one was destroyed in the fire set by Walter) will be ready very soon. This season does not cover the voyage of the raft but I am sure we will see it back again in season two.

I am not a melodramatic kind of person. There are few things that I ever watch that impact my life. I have just never been able to get into the whole idea of dramatization enough to let it affect me. I recently watched a movie that made me think a bit differently about myself. The movie that I watched was The Blind Side with Sandra Bullock.

I have always been a fan of Sandra. She just has a way of making things believable even in situations that definitely aren’t. This movie was no different. She played an uppity lady with plenty of money who finds it in her heart to help a young black man who is very unfortunate in his life. By her doing this act of kindness she ultimately changes this young man’s life.

How I stumbled upon this incredible movie was by complete chance, I had just gotten satellite TV because I saw some directtv specials while surfing the web and shortly after got the service. The Blind Side just happened to be on one of my hundreds of channels and from the second it started I was hooked. When I had finished watching the movie I just sat there on the couch watching the credits roll down the screen. I took a good long hard look at all of the ways in which I was blessed with good fortune. I thought about all of the people who do not even have a bed that they can call their own. Here I sat in a nice home with three bedrooms, three beds, and I only used one of them. What a waste of a good place to sleep! I immediately called the local homeless shelter and informed them that if they needed some extra space for someone to sleep I could provide them with that.

Since watching the movie I have given a resting place to ten different people. I never realized that being able to help someone would feel so good.

When it comes to crime in North Carolina, I suppose that I can say over all I feel reasonably safe however, I do know that the crime here is more than one would imagine.

Over the years, I have taken steps to be safer. I have locks on all of my doors and I have an ADT in North Carolina installed in my home. I am constantly aware of my surroundings and I would like to think that the above-mentioned events have made me stronger. I do know for a fact I am not going to sit back and allow myself to be a victim again. There are few things worse than feeling unsafe in your own home, but thankfully, I’m starting to feel better.

Overall, the crime in North Carolina is a mixed bag, especially depending on where you live. I think the justice system is more of a worry than the actual crimes. Crime might not strike so often, but when it does, you had better pray someone is willing to help you.

When my husband and I first got married we couldn’t afford to go on a honeymoon. Two years after we got married, we decided to celebrate by going on a cruise. We finally decided to go on a Western Carribean cruise. After much anticipation, the day of our cruise finally arrived. We got our luggage to the car, set our ADT Security alarm, and head out the door. We were so excited, because neither one of us had ever been on a cruise before.

Once we were at the airport our excitement started escalating. We both enjoy flying so much that we take turns having the window seat. We enjoyed watching the scenery change below us as we rode on the plane.

After we landed in Florida we grabbed a cab to the port. When we arrived at the port we saw three magnificent cruise ships. We knew instantly that this was going to be an awesome vacation.

Once we boarded the cruise ship, we decided just to walk around and get a feel of the layout of the cruise ship. The ship was absolutely beautiful. It has two beautiful pools, an arcade, an auditorium, four restaurants, and a spa. As we were walking around I kept thinking that I didn’t need to every leave the ship to have a great vacation.

The first night on the ship we decided to have dinner in the main dining room. When I looked at the menu nothing applauded to me, but I decided to have the pumpkin soup. It was the best soup I had ever eaten.

During the trip we stopped in Jamaica, Grand Cayman, and Cozumel. All the ports had crystal clear water and were absolutely beautiful. We went snorkeling, sightseeing, and bike riding in the ports.
